POTD - August 04, '09

So far the pic of the day has been more like a pic of the month. However, as I was heading out to a game of tennis I found this guy who wouldn't leave the hood of my wife's car. He actually seemed very interested in the len of my camera and would actually approach it as I closed in on him. If I wiggled my finger, he would cock his head and seemed to make eye contact. I was no more than 3 inches from him most of the time.

I spent about 5 minutes and snapped about two dozen shots. All were handheld and the DOF was so shallow most were either blurry or out of focus. I fortunately found two shots that were usable. The higher shutter speed is what saved this shot.

Shot at 1/200 at f2.8, iso 400

Here's the Gallery.

BTW - The Brown Anole, Anolis sagrei (or Norops sagrei) is an invasive species not native to Florida or the US. <---- Stupid Florida Fact. Oh, and this one is a female (DO NOT ask me how i know that).

If you have now learned something new....go home for the day!
